Husqvarna Viking Color-Matic Cams & Seam Formers

Husqvarna Viking System Color-Matic cams — also called seam formers, stitch cams, pattern cams, or programmers — are removable three-prong stitch-program components used with compatible Husqvarna Viking mechanical sewing machines equipped with the rear System Color-Matic socket.

Each lettered cam (A through G) provides a group of four selectable programmed stitch patterns. Insert the cam into the rear Color-Matic programmer socket and select one of the four colored stitch symbols to engage that pattern. The cam letter and its colored stitch symbols are the primary means of identification.

Brown and White versions listed separately: CMSS maintains Brown and White Color-Matic cams as separate listings because physical inspection has confirmed that same-letter cams from different versions can carry different stitch programs. When selecting a replacement, compare the cam letter, color version (Brown or White), stitch symbols on the cam face, three-prong mounting configuration, and product photographs with your original cam.

Compatibility: The System Color-Matic three-prong seam former mechanism is associated with the Viking 6000 / Husqvarna 2000 mechanical-machine family. Compatibility depends on the machine having the correct rear three-prong Color-Matic programmer socket. Not all Viking models beginning with 6 use this system. Not compatible with the earlier Husqvarna Automatic 21 cam system or the electronic cassette system used by the Viking 6690.
