This is a genuine original Singer Model 221-1 Featherweight instruction manual in excellent condition with minor wear — no writing, all pages intact, slight crease on front cover consistent with age. Printed in the USA. Form 18740, Revision 1235 is the first and rarest version of the Form 18740 manual series, published December 1935.
Why This Edition Is Special
Revision 1235 (December 1935) is distinguished as the last manual to feature the “school-bell” shaped bobbin winder tension unit — a detail that makes it uniquely identifiable and highly sought after by serious Featherweight collectors. The Form 18740 series went through three revisions before being replaced by Form 19657 in 1941:
