Introduced in the late 1940s, the Singer 160616 Blind Stitch Attachment allows vintage straight-stitch machines to create an invisible hem by producing a series of straight stitches with an intermittent zigzag tuck — catching only a few threads of the fabric face for a nearly invisible finish. The foot is marked "Singer 160616 USA" or "Simanco 160616." Low shank, side-attaching.
