This is a genuine original Singer thread take-up lever assembly in excellent used condition — SIMANCO-stamped, not a reproduction. Includes both lever arms (#45821 and #45825). The thread take-up lever controls thread tension and delivery during each stitch cycle — a bent, worn, or broken lever is a common cause of thread breakage and tension problems.
Mounting screws not included. The cap screws for this lever are model-specific and sold separately — see our listing for the correct cap screws for the Singer 221.
Important Installation Notes
- Model-Specific Screws: The mounting screws differ between the Featherweight (221/222) and the 301/301A — purchase the correct screw set for your machine.
- Reverse-Threaded Screws: The mounting screws are often reverse-threaded to prevent loosening during high-speed sewing. Turn in the opposite direction to install.
