Original vintage Husqvarna Viking Color-Matic Cam G, also known as the Seam Former G or pattern programmer. This is the removable three-prong style cam used to produce programmed decorative stitches on compatible Husqvarna Viking mechanical sewing machines.
OEM Part #: 4114415-01 (identified in period Husqvarna literature as “Seam Former G, complete”)
Stitch patterns (Cam G): Cam G provides four selectable decorative stitch patterns, represented by the four colored stitch symbols on the face of the cam. Based on the stitch symbols, the patterns can be described as:
- Scallop / shell-type decorative pattern
- Starburst-type decorative pattern
- Leaf / floral-type decorative pattern
- Linked-loop / scallop-type decorative border
Note: These descriptions are based on the stitch symbols on the cam face and are not confirmed official Husqvarna stitch names. The product photographs showing the four colored stitch symbols are the best visual reference for the exact patterns.
Accessory status: Cam G was documented as an additional/optional Color-Matic seam former. Some machines were originally supplied with earlier cam groups (A–D or A–F), while Cam G was available as an additional decorative cam. A machine not originally supplied with Cam G does not necessarily mean it cannot use it — compatibility depends on the machine having the correct rear three-prong Color-Matic socket.
Compatibility: Designed for Husqvarna Viking mechanical sewing machines equipped with the rear three-prong System Color-Matic programmer socket. Strong documentation supports Cam G within the Viking 6430, 6440, and 6570 Color-Matic family, with additional evidence supporting use across other compatible Viking 6000 / Husqvarna 2000-series machines with the matching socket. Not compatible with the earlier Husqvarna Automatic 21 cam system or the electronic cassette system used by the Viking 6690.
