This is a genuine Simanco (Singer Manufacturing Company) adjustable hemmer attachment for vintage slant shank (slant needle) Singer sewing machines. In excellent condition. Automatically folds, guides, and stitches a perfectly straight hem of a precise width in one single, fluid motion.

How It Works:
Remove the standard presser foot and shank assembly and replace with the hemmer, secured by the presser bar screw. Loosen the thumbscrew to set your desired hem width. Fold and finger-press a small starting section of fabric, insert into the scroll, then sew — the funnel automatically turns the raw edge over twice as you stitch. Straight stitch only — do not use zigzag.
Tips for Success:
- Practice on scrap fabric first — consistent feeding takes a little time to master
- Apply slight tension to keep the edge aligned with the internal guide
- Sew at moderate speed for best control
