Restore your vintage Singer 201's bobbin winding system with this complete original Singer bobbin winder assembly. Everything you need to rebuild a fully functional bobbin winder is included — genuine original SIMANCO parts plus a new replacement friction wheel/tire. Built specifically for the Singer 201, which uses Class 66 bobbins with a small drive hole for the drive pin — a different winding mechanism than the Singer 15 series.

Note: The frame (#66670) and hub (#15288) are shared with the Singer 15 series, but the spindle (#66671) and release lever (#45268) are specific to the 201. The Singer 201 uses Class 66 bobbins with a small drive hole for the drive pin, while the Singer 15 series uses Class 15 bobbins with a slot.
How the Bobbin Winder Works
The bobbin winder assembly mounts to the right side of the machine and engages with the handwheel when pressed into position. Thread winds evenly onto the bobbin via the spindle drive pin. The release lever and slotted tripping plate work together to automatically disengage the winder when the bobbin is full — a hallmark of Singer's precision engineering on the 201.
