Free Economy Shipping is available on U.S. orders of $45 or more, including APO/FPO addresses. Eligibility is based on the merchandise subtotal after discounts and before taxes and shipping charges.
Customers who qualify for free shipping may still choose a paid shipping service at checkout.
Economy Shipping
For Economy Shipping and Free Economy Shipping, we select the shipping carrier and service based on the package size, weight, destination, and available shipping options.
Orders may ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx. All shipments include tracking.
Economy Shipping is not necessarily slower than our paid shipping options. Many Economy orders ship via USPS Ground Advantage.
Expedited Shipping
Customers who prefer a specific USPS service can select USPS Ground Advantage, Priority Mail, or Priority Mail Express at checkout.
USPS Priority Mail Express is available on eligible lightweight orders weighing up to one pound. Availability may vary depending on the items ordered.

APO/FPO Shipping
We ship to APO/FPO addresses using eligible USPS services. Free Economy Shipping is available on qualifying U.S. orders of $45 or more.

Genuine vintage Singer complete upper tension assembly in excellent condition. Includes all components needed for a complete replacement. Most commonly needed when the original assembly is missing or broken. The tension assembly controls thread resistance to create balanced, secure stitches by ensuring the upper and bobbin threads interlock correctly within the fabric layers.

What's Included:
Complete upper tension assembly with all components including tension discs, spring, cap (black or brown), check spring, and stud.
How It Works:
The assembly consists of a spring and curved metal tension discs. Thread passes between the discs, and the tension dial adjusts the spring pressure. Higher tension pushes discs closer together (more resistance), while lower tension allows discs to sit further apart (less resistance). When balanced correctly, threads lock in the center of fabric layers, creating identical stitching on both sides.
